RSSB Computer Instructor Recruitment 2026 Syllabus

Rajasthan Staff Selection Board known as RSSB published syllabus for recruitment of Basic Computer Instructor & Senior Computer instructor post in Senior Education Department and Sanskrit Education Department on 3951 post for both Tribal Subplan Area (TSP) & Non Tribal Subplan Area (NTSP).

Scheme and syllabus of competitive examination for the posts of Basic Computer Instructor

The examination shall carry 200 marks. There will be two papers. Paper-I shall be of 100 marks and paper-II shall be of 100 marks.

Paper – I Exam Pattern

  • The question paper will carry maximum 100 marks.
  • The duration of the examination will be 2 hours.
  • The paper will contain 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs).
  • The question paper will include the following subjects:
    • Art & Culture
    • History
    • Geography
    • General Science
    • Current Affairs of Rajasthan
  • General Ability section will include:
    • Logical Reasoning and Analytical Ability
    • Decision Making and Problem Solving
    • General Mental Ability
    • Basic Numeracy (Class 10 Level)
    • Data Interpretation – Charts, Graphs, Tables, etc.
  • Negative marking will be applicable. For every wrong answer, 1/3 marks will be deducted.
  • Minimum qualifying marks are 40%. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category will get 5% relaxation.
  • The syllabus and scope of examination will be prescribed by the Commission/Board/Appointing Authority from time to time.

Paper – II Exam Pattern

  • The question paper will carry maximum 100 marks.
  • The duration of the examination will be 2 hours.
  • The paper will contain 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs).
  • Negative marking will be applicable. For every wrong answer, 1/3 marks will be deducted.
  • Minimum qualifying marks are 40%. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category will get 5% relaxation.
  • The paper will include the following subjects:
    • Pedagogy
    • Mental Ability: Decision Making, Problem Solving, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning and Analytical Ability.
    • Fundamentals of Computer: Input-output devices, Number System, Data Processing, Files and Computer Basics.
    • Data Processing: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Access.
    • Programming Fundamentals: C, C++, Java, DotNet, AI, Machine Learning, Python, Blockchain and OOPs concepts.
    • Data Structures & Algorithms: Arrays, Linked List, Stack, Queue, Binary Tree, Graphs, Sorting and Searching.
    • Computer Organization & Operating System: CPU, Memory, I/O Organization, Process Management and File Processing.
    • Communication & Networking: Computer Networks, Network Models, Networking Devices and Mobile Communication.
    • Network Security: Viruses, Firewalls, Backup & Restore, LAN/WAN, Security and Ethical Hacking.
    • Database Management System: RDBMS, Database Design, NoSQL and Data Manipulation.
    • System Analysis & Design: Requirement Analysis, UML, Testing and System Maintenance.
    • Internet of Things & Applications: Internet Technology, HTML, XML, Website Creation, Multimedia, Video Conferencing and e-Commerce.
  • The syllabus and scope of examination will be prescribed by the Commission/Board/Appointing Authority from time to time.

Scheme and syllabus of competitive examination for the posts of Senior Computer Instructor

The examination shall carry 200 marks. There will be two papers. Paper-I shall be of 100 marks and paper-II shall be of 100 marks.

  • The paper will contain 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs).
  • The paper will include the following subjects:
    • Rajasthan GK: Art & Culture, History, Geography, General Science and Current Affairs of Rajasthan.
    • General Ability:
      • Logical Reasoning and Analytical Ability
      • Decision Making and Problem Solving
      • General Mental Ability
      • Basic Numeracy (Class 10 Level)
      • Data Interpretation – Charts, Graphs, Tables, etc.

    • Object Oriented Programming: Objects, Classes, Inheritance, Polymorphism, Exception Handling and Files.
    • Data Structures & Algorithms: Arrays, Linked Lists, Stack, Queue, Trees, Graphs, Sorting and Searching.
    • Digital Logic Systems: Boolean Expressions, K-Maps, Adders, Multiplexers and Sequential Systems.
    • Computer Organization & Architecture: Von-Neumann Architecture, Registers, Memory and Processor Operations.
    • Operating Systems: CPU Scheduling, Deadlocks, Memory Management, File Systems and Linux Basics.
    • Database Management System: RDBMS, Normalization, Indexing, Transactions and Concurrency Control.
    • Software Engineering: SDLC, System Modeling, Software Testing and Project Management.
    • Computer Networks: TCP/IP, OSI Model, LAN Technologies, DNS and Routing.
    • Network Security: Encryption, RSA, AES, Email Security, Ethical Hacking and Networking Security.
    • Basics of Communication: Channel Capacity, GSM, CDMA, PCM and Delta Modulation.
    • Web Development: HTML, DHTML, CSS, XML, PHP and JavaScript.
  • The syllabus and scope of examination will be prescribed by the Commission/Board/Appointing Authority from time to time.
